CENTRAL AMERICAN SURFING

Santa Catalina, Panama is an amazing Central American surf village located on the Pacific Coast.  Santa Catalina used to be a little fishing village until it was discovered by American surfers in the 1970s.

Santa Catalina offers up some surf camps, tiki style cabanas and some good food. 
Santa Catalina Beach in Panama has some of the best surfing waves in all of Central America. Santa Catalina is a combination of beaches located in an ocean side jungle.  The main road of Santa Catalina is the end of the main highway from the city of Soná. The road stops at Santa Catalina beach where the surfers and scuba enthusiasts  mix with local Panamanians for soccer games on the beach. You can find the only boat rental and scuba shops there.
